Terms of Use (Including Member Rights Policy)
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Welcome to the website and LINE Official Account services (together, the "Services") of the Taipei Arts International Association (Unified Business No.: 83868702, hereinafter the "Association"). These Terms explain the use of the Services, member rights and related rules. For the handling of personal data, please also read the Association's Privacy Policy.
This English version is provided for reference only. In case of any discrepancy, the Chinese version prevails.
1. Scope and Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms apply according to the Services you actually use. Provisions on membership applications, account management and similar matters apply to those who apply for or use those features.
In membership applications and other processes that require acceptance of terms, the Association provides the terms in a form you can read and save in advance, gives you a reasonable opportunity to review them according to the nature of the service and the law, and asks you to confirm your agreement by ticking a box or by another clear action.
General browsing, adding the LINE Official Account as a friend or reading the Privacy Policy does not by itself mean that you have applied for membership, nor does it constitute blanket consent to all marketing or use of personal data. Where separate consent is required by law, the Association will obtain it separately.
2. Membership Eligibility and Application
"Members" in these Terms means members of the website services. Membership of the Association as defined in its Articles of Association, and the related rights and obligations, are governed separately by the Articles and the admission procedure.
You obtain website membership after completing the application, necessary verification and consent procedures as instructed on the website and being confirmed by the system or the Association.
When applying, you must provide necessary, true and accurate information and update it when it changes. If information is missing or reasonably doubtful, the Association may ask you to correct it. The Association may refuse an application involving identity fraud, unlawful application or another specific legitimate reason.
A minor applying for membership must, according to the minor's legal capacity and applicable law, have the legal representative apply on the minor's behalf or obtain the necessary permission. For children under seven, the legal representative will in principle apply on their behalf.
3. Member Rights and Individual Services
Members may use member services, look up event information, and take part in applicable member events or offers, according to the features the Association actually makes available.
Eligibility, content, period, number of places, fees and restrictions for individual events or offers will be explained before you take part. Membership does not guarantee access to every offer or event place. The Association will still honor specific commitments it has made in accordance with the law and the agreement.
For ticket purchases, paid events, courses or other transactions, the Association will provide the applicable terms, cancellation and refund methods before the transaction. Individual rules may not exclude rights that cannot be restricted by law.
Whether to receive marketing messages is your separate choice. Declining or cancelling marketing does not affect member services unrelated to marketing.
4. Account Security and LINE Linking
You must keep your member account, password, verification information and LINE account safe, and must not lend or transfer your account for others to use or use the Services with another person's account.
If you discover that your account has been misused, your verification information has been leaked or anything else unusual, please notify the Association as soon as possible. The Association will help verify the situation and take necessary protective measures as appropriate. Responsibility will be determined according to the actual facts, evidence and the law; you will not automatically be held responsible merely because an action came from your account.
You may link your website membership to your LINE account through the service features and necessary verification procedures, and may request unlinking through the relevant feature or by contacting the Association.
Unlinking affects only the features that depend on the link. It does not terminate your membership, cancel all subscriptions or delete your personal data; you may make those requests at the same time if you wish.
5. Rules of Use and Handling of Violations
When using the Services, you must not:
1.Impersonate others, provide false information, or obtain member or event benefits by fraud.
2.Infringe the reputation, privacy, intellectual property rights or other lawful rights of others.
3.Send spam, scam content, viruses, malware or other unlawful or harmful data.
4.Access accounts, systems or data without authorization, or interfere with the normal operation of the Services.
5.Use the Services for any other unlawful act or act contrary to public order or good morals.
In case of a violation, the Association may, according to its seriousness and to the extent necessary, take measures such as requesting improvement, restricting features, removing violating content, or suspending or terminating membership.
Except in cases of urgent security risk, serious illegality or other situations where prior notice is inappropriate, the Association will first notify you of the reason and, where appropriate, give you a reasonable opportunity to remedy it. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact the Association to request a review.
Where offers or benefits have been improperly obtained, the Association will act only within the scope of specific evidence and a lawful basis, and will not cancel lawful benefits unrelated to the violation.
6. Service Changes and Liability
The Association may adjust, suspend or end part of the Services for system maintenance, security, legal requirements or other reasonable needs. Important foreseeable matters that affect use will be notified in advance in an appropriate manner; in emergencies, an explanation will be given as soon as possible afterwards.
The Association will reasonably maintain the operation of the Services, but interruptions, errors or delays may still occur in networks, systems and third-party platforms. When problems arise, the Association will take necessary measures within the scope it can control.
Service changes or membership measures do not automatically cancel transactions already concluded, fees already paid or specific benefits already obtained. Performance, alternative arrangements, cancellation or refunds will be handled according to applicable law and valid agreements.
Liability for damage arising from data errors, account use, system failures, third-party problems or other events will be determined according to the actual cause, the obligations of each party and the law. These Terms do not exclude in advance the Association's liability for intentional acts, gross negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Website Content and External Services
Rights in the text, images, icons, trademarks, layout, software and other content on the Association's website and LINE Official Account belong to the Association or the lawful rights holders.
Except for fair use, other uses permitted by law or lawful authorization, you may not reproduce, adapt, publicly transmit, distribute or otherwise use such content in an infringing manner.
The Services may provide links to websites or platforms operated independently by third parties. The content and services they provide are governed by their own applicable rules. The Association's responsibilities under law or agreement are not waived because it provides external links.
When using LINE services, you must also comply with LINE's applicable terms and platform rules.
8. Personal Data and Termination of Membership
The Association collects, processes and uses personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable law. Applying for membership does not mean consenting to use beyond the original purpose or to marketing by third parties.
You may apply to terminate your website membership through the Association's contact channels. The Association may also suspend or terminate membership to the extent necessary under Section 5.
After membership ends, some member features will no longer be available, but this does not affect existing transactions, refunds, complaints or other rights you may claim by law. The Association will separately help handle any outstanding matters.
Termination of membership and deletion of personal data are separate matters, and you may request both. Retention, cessation of use and deletion of data are handled according to the Privacy Policy and the law.
9. Amendments to These Terms
When the Association revises these Terms, it will announce the revised content and effective date. Where important member rights are affected, it will also give prior notice in an appropriate manner and a reasonable opportunity to read and respond.
Changes that add fees, significantly increase member obligations or reduce existing specific rights will not replace any consent procedure required by law or agreement with an announcement or your continued use. Until the necessary procedures are completed, no new obligations will be imposed on you and no existing rights will be reduced on that basis.
If you do not agree with a revision, you may contact the Association or apply to terminate your membership. You will not lose existing transactions or rights you enjoy by law as a result.
10. Feedback and Contact
If you have any questions about the Services or member rights, you are welcome to contact the Association using the details below, and we will help look into and properly handle the matter. Rights and obligations relating to the Services are governed by the applicable laws of Taiwan, and the rights you enjoy under the law are not affected by these Terms.
